Essentials – Your Foundation

Prerequisites:  Accepted Registration into CPC program; Completion of Living Your Vision® 3 day in-person course

This 3 day course focuses on the fundamental skills and the guiding principles of effective coaching. As the first of the four coaching skills courses and a prerequisite for Power, Essentials introduces you to coaching and how it can improve the quality of life.

You will:

  • Develop  the essential skills of coaching including powerful listening and powerful questions.
  • Clarify what personal professional coaching IS and what it ISN'T.
  • Explore the Core Coaching Competencies as identified by the International Coach Federation.
  • Develop  the essential skills for building a client base.
  • Discover your natural coaching skills and your learning edge.
  • Practice giving and receiving effective feedback.
  • Learn from mentored practice coaching sessions.
  • Develop the essential skills for building a business.
  • Gain confidence to begin working with clients.

Essentials may be taken after the workshop portion of Living Your Vision®.  Both Living Your Vision® and Essentials must be completed before entering Power.
