About Dr. Josie McLean
Josie’s initial career was as a financial analyst in the field of corporate strategic planning in the automotive and finance industries. In 1999, she commenced her own executive coaching practice that expanded into team coaching in 2006 and group coaching for organisational cultural change 2009. During this time she was also an active volunteer as an activist for sustainability and in 2009, Josie received the global ICF President’s Award for her contribution to the coaching industry in Australasia. From 2009–2017, she completed her doctoral studies and thesis with an emergent systemic action research initiative within a client organisation to understand how an organisation might transform itself–just like a person might–from the inside out. Her thesis was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Thesis Excellence after being examined by international experts in the field. Josie is also a co-founder on the Climate Coaching Alliance with Eve Turner and Dr. Alison Whybrow. Josie lives in the semi-rural hills surrounding Adelaide, South Australia where she works with ‘leaders’ seeking change and working with complex challenges.
