About Thulani Makhoba

My name is Thulani Makhoba I am a founder and Director of Loving Classroom South Africa. I was born and raised in South Africa in Soweto in a small place called Orlando East in 1979. I am a father of a wonderful 10year old boy.

I started attending school at Orlando East at a school called Zakheni Primary School until Standard 2 which is now called grade 4 then went to Lukholweni Higher primary were I attended until Standard 5 now grade 7 after that I went to Altem Secondary School where I finished my grade 12 now Matric in 1997.

After Matric I attended Rau University and did a one year certificate on Transport Management. Then in 1999 I did project management with BMT College and qualified with a degree. I am also a qualified Assessor, Trainer and Moderator from Assessment College of Africa.

Started working for a small community organisation called Ikusasalethu Youth Project in 2003 doing community work with children, in 2004 worked for Camp Sizanani as a camp counsellor and later camp director running Life Skills Camps, 2005 worked for HIVSA as a project manager running all their child and adolescent program. 2010 Worked for Save the Children Norway/Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe, 2012 Worked for Unicef were was instrumental in drafting the Children Right. In 2013 I worked for VSO for 18months in London helping formulate a children life skills program. 2015 I worked for Future Footprint as a facilitator and trainer teaching nursing.

I am a hard working individual who is not afraid to push the limits to gain knowledge and new experience. I am passionate about children and their wellbeing and a big advocate of children’s rights and relationship education.
