The Letter

Read this blog by inviteCHANGE coaching education alumni, Mark K. House, PCC, to explore the relationship between coaching, business, and love. See how Mark uses music in his coaching practice with business leaders to keep love at the forefront.

"Love is not something we talk about in business much, but when I decided to use music to talk about leadership with that as the soundtrack, I should have recognized it shows up all the time. And truthfully, it is always just below the surface, in the realm of the emotions that we try to hide with masks and clever phrases like “it’s not personal, it’s just business.” And particularly after the last 2 years, we are fooling ourselves if we don’t realize that love is present in business all the time."

Mark K. House, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) – ICF

Mark believes in investing in people: they are the force multiplier in successful business that transform markets and our world. They are empowered by their own skills and the environments they create – where they engage, manage, partner, observe, wonder, execute, and renew with systems that are contagious to those around them.

Mark has helped develop 1,000’s of leaders and hundreds of teams in large and small businesses. He is a Designing Your Life Coach and certified in Positive Intelligence. His work with Teams leverages the Team Effectiveness Model and also The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team..

A graduate of the Georgetown Executive Coaching/Leadership Development program, he holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and Bachelor’s degrees in Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Math from Southern Methodist University. He plays Bass in a Gospel Bluegrass band which gives him material for his blog site Leading With Music.
